Executive Office Manager

Emilia is the friendly face who keeps our office running smoothly. As Office Manager, she takes pride in making sure patients feel welcome, appointments stay on track, and the team has everything they need to provide excellent care. She loves building relationships with patients and creating a comfortable, positive experience for everyone who walks through our doors. When she’s not at the office, she enjoys spending quality time with her 3-year-old son and exploring the outdoors, making the most of every moment with her family.

Deanna Sweiss, BS, RDH, RDHAP
Dental Hygienist | Founder of Root + Smile

Deanna is a licensed Dental Hygienist and Registered Dental Hygienist in Alternative Practice (RDHAP) with a passion for compassionate, accessible oral care. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene from Loma Linda School of Dentistry graduating cum laude with honors in 2018. During her studies, she served as head of the Mission Service Association, leading dental mission trips to underserved communities around the world. She was also the recipient of the prestigious Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals Student Award for excellence in patient care and leadership.
In 2021, Deanna expanded her scope of practice by earning her RDHAP certification from the University of the Pacific, allowing her to provide preventive dental care independently to those with limited access to traditional dental settings.

Art Anaya
Lead Dental Assistant

Art Anaya has worked in the dental field for 7 years, including 3 as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA). He’s passionate about helping patients regain their confidence and building lasting relationships through compassionate care. In his spare time, Art enjoys hiking, cooking, and spending quality time with his daughter.

Brenda Koh
Front Office Manager

Brenda Koh has 4 years of experience in the dentistry field. She has been working at Smiles Cafe Dentistry for 3 years as a Dental Assistant and Front Admin. Her East coast charm brings a warm, caring presence to both the clinical and front office teams. Brenda is passionate about helping others and finds true joy making a positive impact on patients’ lives through dentistry. When she's not at the office, you’ll likely find her at the beach, thrifting, enjoying a high quality plate of Italian pasta and Korean BBQ.

My own dental trauma from when i was a child gave me a big passion for dentistry, as a hope to help others with dental anxiety. I love making patients feel comfortable and easing their anxiety. On my free time i enjoy spending time with friends and going on hikes with my dog, Bailey.
